Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and Yoga 3 Part Workshop Series for Neck and Shoulder Pain.
Join Chris Hebeler, PT to explore a combination of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and Yoga to decrease neck and shoulder pain as well as prevent future injury.
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization uses developmental kinesiology and neurodevelopmental principles to evaluate and treat a wide range of orthopedic and sport related conditions. DNS emphasizes restoring ideal breathing patterns and function of the deep spinal and shoulder girdle stabilization systems to create quality joint mechanics through movement and to avoid overloading of joint structures. Its foundations parallel traditional Yoga asana and the natural progression of a physical practice.
Through this 3 part workshop series, Chris will teach you the anatomy and biomechanics of the neck and shoulder girdle, common causes of injury, and how you can apply DNS and Yoga to retrain the brain for better biomechanics and less stress and strain on your neck and shoulder joints to ultimately decrease pain and prolong the health of your musculoskeletal system. He will also take these principles and show how they can be applied in day to day life.
You’ll leave with a new inspiration for movement and an understanding of your own unique development. Chris clearly has a passion for sharing his understanding of the body’s patterns and helping people. His neuromuscular perspective is refreshing, approachable, and must be shared with anyone who practices Yoga and deals with neck or shoulder pain.
